Ingredients

  • 2⅕ cups flour
  • 250 g La Perruche Cassonade
  • 200 g butter
  • 4 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 1 white chocolate bar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 1 pinch fleur de sel

How to make white chocolate cookies ?

 

Preparation of the chocolate chip cookie dough

  1. The first step in the cookie recipe is to mix the flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
  2. Melt butter in microwave or double boiler. Mix the soft butter with the La Perruche Cassonade in a second bowl. Add the egg to the cookie dough mixture and mix until smooth. Stir in liquid vanilla and sesame seeds. Mix again.
  3. Gradually pour the contents of the first bowl into the second, mixing with a spatula. Chop the white chocolate into large pieces. Add the white chocolate chips to the mixture, keeping a small handful aside.
  4. Place the bowl under a tea towel in the fridge for 30 minutes.

 

Baking American-style soft cookies

  1. Next step, using an ice-cream scoop (or your hands), shape the cookie dough into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with ovenproof baking paper. Place a few small pieces of white chocolate on the top of each ball of cookie dough. Preheat the oven to 180° and then bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden brown.
  2. Once cooked, remove the cookies to the oven rack and leave to cool before serving.

Once cooled, your homemade cookies reveal their perfect texture : crisp on the edges thanks to Cassonade la Perruche and soft in the center. The residual heat keeps the chocolate slightly melting.
